I have done alot of street riding in that area when I use to live there. My favorite rides were Hwy 36 from Red Bluff to Hwy 101 have lunch then back on Hwy 299. Also Hwy 36/89 and over Mt Lassen. Hwy 299 to Lewiston Rd. Take Trinity Dam road to Hwy 3 then ride past the lake to Calahan, Etna and Fort Jones back to I5.
I can't say much about ridng dirt but I use to have a friend that did a lot of dirt riding in that area. But riding in the back counrty on dirt between Whiskey town and the coast can be hazardous during harvest season if you get my drift.
I use to use Pa****s web site for all the great write ups with pictures he did a great job.. It would be worth the $20 subscription
