INterested in the Trinity Alps and Redwoods area , info

Traveling this area in July, any suggestions for riding areas? Street and dirt? Everything we bring will be street legal, dual sports will be xr600/xr400 and a Buell. Anything we should see fo' sho...

There is a road, better for a DS bike, that goes from Hwy 101 to the beach and a short hike into Fern Canyon, worth the trip. It turns left off the Hwy above the town of Orick and before you get to the turn off for Prairie Creek State Park. Plenty of Elk wandering around the area as well.
