- DuckExplorerI watched the video and the owner of Excel said that the fridge and bath room were accessible with the slide in.
Don - gitane59Explorer IIIFirst reaction is it's COOL!!
My DW and I love the idea of a bath and half 5ver.
Not sure about the fold-up stairs latched to the exposed side of the slide-out. That just looks plain weird according to my wife.
I too need to see one in person and want to see one in person. I wonder if they will adapt it to their Limited model offerings?
No sure why you need duel sinks in the master bath with the half bath? Would rather have 12 inches less counter space and more storage. - I_am_still_waynExplorerSeveral thoughts:
1. That Rhino roof material is sprayed over the flanges of the roof vents and plumbing caps making the inevitable replacement difficult. After replacement, resealing would be problematic at best.
2. The stairs fold down from the outside, and the stair stringers would have to be at the proper angle, or the stair steps themselves would be either pointing up or down making them a serious tripping hazard. One more thing to level. - 66chevelleExplorerShould have read that closer, I thought it said a door in both sides, not a door in the slide. Better have some more java!
- 66chevelleExplorerMy folks have a 2005 Exel with a door in both sides. It's very nice camping side x side with them, as we have a big camping area between us. Also very nice with both awnings out.
- hone_eagleExplorerOne of the few builders that have accurate weights, not measured 1/2 way down the line but in the parking lot ready to travel.
Like the roof, bet its as heavy as a 'glass roof. - The_Mad_NorskyExplorer

From the link provided by the OP, here is just a partial quote from the Peterson Industries/Excel web site:
Quote: It also allows for a half bath that can be accessed without the slide-outs extended. That makes pit stops quick and convenient while the unit is rigged for transport.” End of quote.
I kind of figured one could get past that island. Just a hunch on my part, but it looks like the forward part of that island is a fold down extension. Mind you, I sure could not see this looking at the link, but still suspect this to be so.
Folded down, and if one just bothers to move the table/chairs towards the forward corner of the slide during transport, there should be plenty of room for anyone to access the interior with the slides in during transport.
Neat idea! - deleted-2Explorer III really like the layout.
Looks like this company was listening to the consumer. - kakampersExplorerDoubt the furniture is to scale...with that Island I doubt you could get past the table or the recliners for that matter. You could get inside but couldn't go anywhere. ..
- wkswensonExplorerFrom the floor layout - looks like there would be plenty of room even with the slide in...

My concern would be that they don't recommend stepping on slide-out floors when they are in - so that might be an issue. Would like to see one in person.
