- face_downExplorerWhat a bunch of grumps here....I think it is cool! No decal to fade! ;)
- padredwNomadOur first fifth-wheel was a Prowler Regal with front living room and front window. I liked that design very much. (It must have been around a 1995 model.) I even tried to find a front living room model to replace it, but all the new trailers with front living rooms were much larger than I wanted.
The front window did have a rock shield and it worked very well. Easy to open and close. I still miss being able to look out the front, even in our front bedroom trailer.
Ofcourse, this was before the day of triple slide-outs, so the space inside was limited, but it was a great design for its day.
If I could find a 34' fifth-wheel with front living room and window with two or three slides . . . - B_O__PlentyExplorer IIFor all the reasons listed, bugs, damage from rocks, leaks, heat. I'm thinking that's going to be a flop..

Cool, now 5th wheels have windshields to replace from stone damage. :)
...and leak... :-) Personally, I like the old trailers that had a fold-down cover/shield over the front window. Be nice to have that, as it will double as an awning.

Our 2009 Komfort had a front bed and window with that shield. We loved it. We would lie in bed late at night on our stomachs and look out at the campground activity or watch for wildlife in the morning and night. - laknoxNomad

Years back they had rock shields for them (yes there is little actually new in the world) - n7bsnExplorer

Being an RV we probably wouldn't have to worry about something like that LEAKING would we. :)
Years back, the last time these where tried, their tendency to leak was part of why they became unpopular. - azrvingExplorerBeing an RV we probably wouldn't have to worry about something like that LEAKING would we. :)
