The biggest difference to me going from a 30 TT to a 37 FW was remembering to go farther past a site before beginning to back in. The FW begins to swing later when backing.

Just watch the tail swing. Rest is easy ours is 41ft and no issues backing into sites.

As a couple of other posters point out, it depends on where you plan on camping. Some of the answers you will get are the posters' opinions from their perspectives and from how and where they use their trailers.

This year I'm going to be visiting some state parks with my 35' 5th wheel and I'm a bit nervous. I'm not the best at backing and most sites are back in at the state parks -- plus more narrow roads. The nice thing about the SPs in Utah is that the sites are usually spread out and not on top of each other like the private rv parks. Each state seems to have different approaches to their state parks.

First of all the 337RLS is not 34'! It's 36'1". My view is to get the one you want, you'll get used to the size after the first pull. Really.

You will not even notice the extra couple of feet after a few times! If DW is happy, you will be happy!

It comes down to "she who must be obeyed" & the type of RVers you are.

If you are the private CG types where there are sites for any size RV but it is alot of parking lot style camping then the big one will be fine. If you are a traveler, frequently moving & like the SPs, NPs & BLM camping, using a private CG every so often for laundry day, then the big one will not cut it.

Priorities, it is all about priorities. Can't have everything/

Bo...we went from a 30' 5er to a 39' 5er along with a new TV, so I think either one is going to be a new learning experience in maneuvering for you as changing up our set up was for us...so I say if the longer 5er makes both of you happier because of the layout then go for it, if the shorter one makes you happier because of the layout then pull the trigger on that one. Either way you’re not losing, new truck and a new 5er....Congrats are in order....

Boingram.. We go just about any place we want to go. We are on our way home right now from Yuma Az. We have never not been able to find a place to go. Some of the State CG we are limited, but I've always found someplace to park it. Well worth the little hassle you might have to get the 39', widebody, 369RL
