Is a slider hitch required on GM short beds?
I've read several posts now stating that GM trucks have a longer distance between the back of the cab and the rear axle vs Ford or Dodge. Is there anyone out there towing with a late model GM short b...

I have a 2013 GMC Sierra 3500HD, single rear wheel drive, with a standard 6 1/2" bed.
I tow an Excel Winslow 5th wheel with a B&W Companion. It's not a slider. I've had no problems.
