Is a slider hitch required on GM short beds?
I've read several posts now stating that GM trucks have a longer distance between the back of the cab and the rear axle vs Ford or Dodge. Is there anyone out there towing with a late model GM short b...

On a Chevy 3500 if the pin was 1" in front of the axel it's 43" to the rear window and the Ford 350 41". I've read where people do not have a problem but with half of the trailer at 48" depending on the design of your front cap and how even the ground you are turing on we might have a problem. Tomorrow we are off to order a new Ford with a 8 Foot box. For us we are justing taking the worry out of it.
