How could it not be worth it? Lets see...Materials (without the appliance cost) for PVC, glues, PEX tubing, PEX tools, fittings, Wiring in a 20 Amp circuit breaker, with the needed wires, connectors, breaker, receptacles, etc. Then the time to do all the work. Then add in the price of the combo W/D (about $1300), the vent kit, Drain pan, hold downs, etc. Of course that is if you do it yourself. Then, do you have a place to set the W/D? In a closet? Count in the lost closet space. If you have it done for you take your cost, multiply by 2.5, add in the time it takes...maybe about 10 hours @ 100/hr.
Or compare going to the C/G laundry. Where you can use 2 or 3 machines at a time...and be done in two hours...at most. For $6.00 or less. Or use your own combo W/D and take 3 hours or so for a load of about 4 pounds. Or else find a trailer that is already set up, so you can just move the W/D in, plug it in and push button to start.
I just added a Splendide separate washer and dryer in my trailer. Which was all set up for it. Bought the washer on dryer on sale at CW. Had them install vent kit. Ands set appliances in place, with hold downs, and drain pan. I connected the hoses, drain, and electrical plug in's. Cost $1650. Which was $200 for CW labor. Took 3 hours.
