Is there an ideal side for the dinette?
I wonder if you seasoned campers would share your preferences over the years regarding the placement of the dinette?

Some say if the dinette goes out on a slide, put it opposite from the door so as not to take up awning space. Others might enjoy looking out to the action under the awning while they dine inside.
