currently have 2008 ford f-250 super duty pu diesel engine, looking at fifth wheel trailer 9500 #, fifth wheel hitch weight 1900# What do u think, guys??

That reply was just pure BS. The police (actually DOT) only cares about axle/tire ratings and paid for license weight. The insurance company doesn't care until after a problem and then on only continuing coverage for the future
To the OP: generically you will be close but should be fine assuming a loaded trailer weight of less than 12k# for a modern diesel powered 3/4 ton truck
