I wonder, after 30 years in LE, how many accidents involving RV's are charged off to "driver loss of control" when in reality, the tire failure was the cause of the accident? How many cases of damage to a vehicle (the trailer) are not reported and the insurance companies cover the cost of repairs? I am sure that the federal government is not interested due to our "trade" with Chins and the amount of money they loan the federal government. If there were people in the federal regulatory agencies who were not robots answering the complaints with the standard white house line of nonsense, then something would have been done a long time ago. As the Consumer Reports article said, these tires are not a bargin at all.
