Don't know why some continue to push/argue trailer aid type or blocking one tire towards the OP. Like other folks they simply don't work for his trailer suspension.
The OP has a good grasp about disadvantages of jacking a heavy trailer frame from a single point.
And he has received some good ideas to think about to answer his question ...."There has to be a better way".
Now he can gather whatever equipment he needs to make his own better way to raise one tire off the ground.
I would advice making a dry run at home first before finding out on the road it didn't work as planned.
I’ve tried driving it onto a block, but the distance between the axles makes this impractical. I’d need to carry half a lumber yard to get high enough to lift the other wheel.
There has to be a better way.
