When you jack up your 5th wheel do you: - place the jack under the axle between the hanger u-bolts - jack up the frame - use a ramp to drive the good tire onto - other...please explain

Yep, under the U-bolt, to change a tire. Under the frame for suspension work along with under the U-bolt.
