Jacking up a 5er

My wife and I just bought our first 5er. A 1997 SeaBreeze 2033. For its age it is in excellent condition. We are getting ready to move and I need to check brakes bearings and drums. My problem is where to jack it up at. All I've read have conflicting answers. Frame, axle, drive on ramp. I'm sure this has been asked many times before. Jacking on the frame bends the frame. Jacking on the axle bends the axle. Not enough room to drive on ramp. My 5er weighs in at over 11000 lbs empty. 14000 loaded. Any help will be greatly appreciated
Thanks

Do you mean one WHEEL at a time?
If so, I agree. That is where the trailer weight is supported so jacking under the spring plate will not stress anything.
  • I use a bottle jack placed right under an outer u-bolt and jack only one axle at a time.
  • I use a pressure treated 4x4 about 5' feet long parallel with the frame centered between the axels and a floor jack i lift the whole side up. The 4x4 spreads the pressure out on the frame so no chance of bending it that allows me to do maintenance on both wheels with one jacking. My 5ver weighs in at 16k when loaded and have done it loaded with no problems.

X2. I have also read the dire warnings about where and where not to place the jack. JMHO, those warnings were originated by lawyers for the various component makers so they could avoid any and all liability.
