Jayco or Grand Designs toy haulers experience?

Anyone have experience with these brands? I've heard good things. Thanks.
  • Just brought home our new Momentum 397th. Seems like a well built trailer. Would have bought another Cyclone but they did not have a floor plan that worked for us.
  • We've full-timed for almost 3 years and put almost 24,000 miles on our GD 380th. While we've had some minor issues, we've found Grand Design's customer service to be above expectations.
  • Grand Design did just sell to Winnebago. So far, nothing has changed - they still have EXCELLENT after-the-sale support and their build quality is good. They seem to realize that GD has been doing a lot of things right, and want that to continue.
  • For what it's worth, I believe Grand Designs just sold to Winnebago.
  • I'm on my second Grand Design product now. I would not have been a repeat buyer if it wasn't for their superb customer service.
  • GD has had a pretty good reputation, I know a few members have had some issues but over all very positive. Jayco has a good reputation too, but with a bit more baggage because they are an older company. They, within the last year, sold out to Thor, prior to that they were the largest family owned RV manufacturer.

As with any RV there are lemons and the Friday Gilligan Specials out there, you need to do a detailed PDI before you sign any purchase paperwork - after you do that you are the mercy of the warranty gods.
  • Love our GD Momentum 380th. Well built... excellent customer service from dealer and from Grand Design.
