Jayco outdoor kitchen

We are considering a new Jayco fiver. I noticed that it does not look like they are offering an outdoor kitchen any longer in the 2014 models. Am I overlooking something or did they have issues with them?

Thanks...

    Yup,obviously they are still available.
  • I really like the outdoor kitchen and the extra bar fridge is very handy. Although we've just downsized from a 29' trailer to the Winnebago 2201DS at 26'9", the outdoor kitchen was one of the reasons for choosing it.
  • I am not a fan of outdoor kitchens. I agree with Bumpy too much duplication.
I see no need for 2 stoves, microwaves or sinks. Space can be better utilized as simple storage.
However we each have our own opinions and likes.
Nevertheless I don't think Jayco would have discontinued the outdoor kitchens if they were a popular/profitable option.

  • Well we sure miss ours!
Some trailers are downsizing the kitchens to smalller size with sink and small fridge. They don't take up as much room.
  • Thats why we didnt go with a jayco for that very reason. Our outdoor kitchen gets sooooo much use I couldnt imagine not having it.it was a deal breaker for me.But to each their own.Kids grab a water or juice outside and wash their hands without tracking******all over the place inside and very convienant for us adults as well.Grabbing a beer, having a sink outside when cooking is invaluable.Looking around at most newer campers in campgrounds it appears most people like the option as well.Cant figure jaycos reasoning.Outdoor kitchens ARE popular.jmo
  • well when manufacturer's drop a certain feature, it is because it doesn't sell as well as others they can crank out and move quickly. I certainly don't want the space/weight taken up by duplicating a kitchen with smaller facilities.
