jayco qwest m-237a Pin Weight

Hello out there! I'm looking at purchasing a 2002 jayco qwest m-237a 5er but I've searched and searched and can't find the pin weight anywhere on the web. Does anyone else out there own this trailer that can help me out?

Thanks!

  • If you know the total axle weight rating (sum total of all axles), subtract that total from the GVWR. The difference will you a general idea what the manufacturer proposed the pin weight should be when loaded to GVWR.
  • Keep in mind that NADA usually gives the dry weight. If you can't get an accurate number from the tag or other source, I'd add another 1500-2000 lbs to that number to get an approximate gross weight.
  • Unless someone removed it, there should be a plaque or sticker on the trailer (usually front driver-side area) that lists the GVWR of the trailer. Then use the 20-25% rule to approximate the pin weight.
  • Ya, that's the problem I'm running into. Was hoping somebody that owns one has the stats.
  • You may have to contact Jayco directly, unfortunately their web site archive section only goes back to 2003 and your model is not listed.
