Jeep and toy hauler

I going to take the jeep to the scales next week with the hard top off and 1/4 tank of fuel to see what the real weight is. Doing a little research on the work and play, it seems that I could find more complaints on them than good. I know that all company's have their problems, we're still looking at them esp the Catalyst, we're in no rush. I was also wondering what modes I could do to TH like the previous post said, as soon as I know what the real weight is on the jeep will help. Thanks again for all the input, please feel free to give your input good or bad, like I said we're taking our time!

A friend had Forest River add a third axle to his TH,thus allowing him to put in a jeep rock crawler.His rig is open all the way so he drives it in to a measured spot.He has to change tires to get it in,but so far has had no problems.I do not know if other improvements where made or not,such as door strength,frame upgrade,etc.He has been all over AZ with it and so far no problems.

Don't use a normal toy hauler for your jeep. They just aren't built to handle that much weight in one spot. The Work and Play's are built with beefier frames and cross members closer together than a standard TH.
A custom car hauler would be the cats meow, but price can be up there. I looked at one but couldn't pass on the price I got on my WnP 30FBW.
Also, don't skimp on garage space if going with a separate garage set up. More space will alway you to adjust your jeep to dial in pin weight. If you get bare minimum you might get stuck with too light of pin with no way to adjust weight forward.

Thanks for all the infor, we're going to look at the Work and Play, we do like the Forest River products. The jeep is only six feet wide so getting in and out in toy hauler would not be a problem. It's actual size is six feet wide, just under seven feet tall and the length is 12,so l would need a 12/14 garage. I noticed that on some trailers(we're looking at fifth wheels) I would be anywhere from 300 to 500 over cargo weight, I was wondering if that would be enough to make it tail heavy or make it would tail wag while driving. Any comments on the Forest River Toy Haulers, the wife really likes the Vengeance models esp the touring model.

So the Jeep will fit inside - have you tried getting in and out of the Jeep once it's inside of the toy hauler yet?

Any of the car haulers with living quarters will do the job. Make sure you get a sufficiently tall roof line and ramp opening to clear your jeep without having to air down tires or winch down suspension.
