JT Strong Arms...Do You Remove The "T" Handles?

I don't tighten the JT's that are on the front since the T faces down. I have a hybrid system with a steadyfast bar on the back. Since the screw faces down I do tighten that up after retraction. So far I have about 10k towed miles on the trailer and the T's have stayed in. This includes our current trip up the Alcan and some pretty rough roads.
