JT Strong Arms...Do You Remove The "T" Handles?

Our new Columbus came with the JT Strong Arm stabilizers. During the pdi I was told to remove the "T" handles, whenever traveling, as they tend to vibrate loose and fall out. Do you remove them? Have you lost any? Thanks for the input.

  • Just snug them up after you raise the legs. They won't come loose.
  • Don't remove them and haven't lost any. They tend to rust and stay in place anyway.
  • I have to grease my t bolts every year to prevent rust, so yes I remove them to prevent them working out on the road.
  • I have never had this issue. Once I raise the jacks I re-tighten them, They may keep the jacks up should something go wrong with the jacks when traveling.
  • I've forgotten to re tighten and they're fine when we get home. I can't see them working against their own weight to back all the way out.
  • Raise them up and tighten T-handle. No problem. Can't imagine crawling under rig to put in T-handles every time. Maybe have a couple of bolts of same thread in case OOPS happens.
