JT Strongarm setup with 45 degree rear stabilizers

Every TT/5th wheel trailer I've had it was the rear of the trailer that needed more side to side stabilization than the front of the unit. Lots of movement way out past the tires.

I think the rear stabilizers are more stable side to side than front to back. If you grab the foot when it is half way down and move it, it will move as I describe more fwd/aft vs. side to side.

Ok, so maybe I will start with just the front and see. I also have the underbelly coroplast that I don’t want to remove, so the tubing idea is interesting. I also have a rear hitch with what looks like a tube running across as well, so maybe i can position to use that. Great ideas, thanks!

my rear stabilizers are still sitting in the front storage bay waiting to be installed ... for 2 years now. Maybe one of these days I'll get'er done, but my motion sensitive mate hasn't mentioned rock and roll since I installed the fronts. :)

The front has two struts to reduce side to side movement and two to reduce front to back movement. The two at the rear should be installed to reduce side to side tail wiggle since the front ones can’t stop that.

Mine has an enclosed underbelly and I did not want to cut into that to find a place to attach the struts. So I made a cross piece from 2" sq tube, cut at an angle on each end, and bolted that to the frame on each side. Then attached the strut mounts to that cross piece.

That's what I would do, the Strongarms will work best if they are attached to lessen side-to-side motion, the front ones will mostly take care of front-to-back motion.

Mine is installed exactly like learjet. Taking it out camping tonight for the first time since install.
