Thats something I have never quite understood about the B&W the ability to LOCK it open. My Reese locks in the open position but its IMPOSSIBLE for it to remain that way, when I release the jaws, the handle can be moved at a slight horizontal angle to keep it open , but when backed into it automatically shuts, I can't keep it open if I wanted to. I would think it would be easy for B&W to change the design the same , being able to just lock it open doesn't make much sense .and its been proven to cause a dropped fifth wheel.
