Kayak rack

I use my Yakima rack that I already have for the bikes. Has worked well now for 3 different trucks.

If I can figure out storage for the kayaks, I have considered the Yakima Rack and Roll trailer and doing a tandem tow.

I've had a custom receiver hitch welded for back of trailer, use it for bike rack, plenty enough capacity for the light trailer, a couple kayaks and bikes.

We're planning to get one this spring, probably before May, the model with the dual crossbars. It should fit our 10' kayaks well. Not wanting one with a front end bracket. With an 8' bed & crew cab I think it will work well.

I like the fact that it can be dismantled & stored easily.

The only one I have seen like what you are showing came all the way over the truck cab and hood and had supports going down to the truck front bumper...
