The lift bed took up too much ceiling space (ie: I can't walk under the bunk when it was in the up position without REALLY ducking). We also dry camp a lot and it runs on 12v to raise and lower so we'd kill the battery raising and lowering a couple times a day ... need to lower it for the boys to sleep and then raise it in the morning to use the camper/sofa/dinette/back patio deck option.
