That's because they knew you were an Excel guy!! ;)
Seriously, when they implemented the new vBulletin forum software, they changed URLs for the forum. The home page still uses the old URL, but if you try to get to the forum from there, it won't transfer you. Try signing up at the new forum, not the home page.
