I have a very similar Keystone, a 13 Sydney 340fbh. Same construction, similar layout and price point of the Cougar. I would say 10 years may be stretching it a bit but these rigs are considered mid price point. The main thing to be preventative on is leaks, roof and caulking integrity.
I have had mine through 3 seasons now and am happy with it. I do my best to keep it in good condition but does take a lot of effort. I have owned 6 rvs and would rate this on the upper end as far as quality goes compared to my previous.
The best thing to do is keep it clean, roof and slide caulk watched closely and keep out of direct sunlight if you can.
