My husband and I are thinking about purchasing a used 2008 Keystone Copper Canyon 5th wheeler. It appears to be in mint condition. We don't see any water damage. Is there anyone who has experience with Copper Canyon 5th wheelers? Are these good trailers? We are very excited to own it, but I have heard that Keystone has made some poor trailers. We have never owned a 5th wheeler, so any advice is appreciated.
I had a 2008 Copper Canyon with one slide. My suggestion to you is to check the roof thoroughly. Especially the front where it mates with the front cap. On my 2008 it developed a leak at the head of the bed and it was discovered that the factory had cut the wood short at one corner and just stretched the rubber roof over the hole and then pumped a few pounds of sealant to cover it up. After a couple of trips to TX it worked loose and started leaking. My go to RV repair guy took pictures and showed me what they did. He was able to take the trim loose from the cap and stretch it back while packing the underside with foam blocking to help EPDM. Other than some other minor issues it was a fairly decent RV.
