Maybe you could try the manufacture of the water heater. I had a flush valve go bad on Sundance. The valve was about 50.00 but was covered by DOMETIC's 2 year warranty on their products. My heartland warranty had run out and was fast approaching the end of the 2 year DOMETIC warranty. DOMETIC did a free replacement. Possible the same for your water heater manufacture.
