I am a retired Navy Pilot, not the idiot that KING COUGAR assumes I am. I have never been so insulted as I was yesterday by "KING COUGAR".
You were a Navy pilot? Really? You were taught to calmly assess issues and react to the situation as that is the way pilots deal with adversity. What you have here is a misunderstanding of the warranty issue and you are overreacting inappropriately. Keystone does not have to know what is wrong with your hot water heater. They know that it is not the coach but a component/appliance in the coach and those appliances have their own warrantys. RV's are not cars or pickup trucks where the dealers just fixes whatever component is wrong with it without regard to who the subcomponent manufacturer is. RV's are different. Most have warranty on the coach itself, not necessarily the appliances. This is where your friends at CW should have known how to get warranty relief for your situation. It appears from your side of the story that they called the wrong number. When your alternator in your Ford dies, Ford fixes it; when your applicance in your RV fails, the appliance manufacturer has it under it's own warranty. Check into it
There are folks out there fighting for their lives with cancer, fighting to keep jobs, fighting to stay in their house, etc. and you flip out in your first post here about a few dollars needed to fix an appliance that could have been turned on without the water in it. It might even be your fault. Take a chill pill and calmly like a pilot, think through your options. And tell CW to make the right call. Maybe Keystone could have been a little more helpful in pointing you to the right warranty source, but CW should have known that as well.
AMEN !.....Dennis
