Way too much emotion in this whole thread.
Bottom line is the OP bought a new trailer. And the Water heater did NOT work from the start. For whatever reason. So he called CW to get help. CW says Cougar denied the claim. And the OP gets PIXXED off.
And I (for one) cannot blame him. Sure! Maybe he can get results from the component manufacturer. But Camping World took his money. And they should belly up to the bar and help their customer. If Cougar won't help, then they should know enough to go up the ladder. Or to go to the water heat maker. But they need to TAKE CARE OF THEIR CUSTOMER. They are doing nothing more than selling him high mark-up parts, and high labor rates. All to their good. And only their good.
Then the guy comes on here and describes his problem, as he see's it, and his frustration. Some really try to help him, by letting him know he has an alternative...to call the component manufacturer.
Now here is MY rant. So many others come on here and crucify this guy for a first post that you do not like. And so many senior members jump down his throat because his first post in NOT what you want to hear. Can't you understand that he has a new trailer? Maybe a new RV'er.? Paid a lot of money. And also has little or no experience on this forum. All he is asking for is help. And our hallowed (senior) members here are quick to jump on him. And then doubt if he is a navy pilot? What the HEL is wrong with you people. Get off your high horse. You embarrass those other senior members.
Forget the bull...ony, and try to help the guy. And thank him for his service. I for one, had several friends die in Vietnam. And several that had their lives saved by helicopter pilots. And others that were saved by cover bombing. Do I know if he is a Navy Pilot? No. But if he is, I think he deserves better than this. And if he isn't (which I doubt is the case) he deserves good advice. And keep the negative opinions and posts to yourselves.
Certain members on here just make me puke.
To the OP...Hope all works out well for you. There is some good information here. And hopefully you don't give up on this forum. And as much as it rubs me wrong, there is some insight given as to how best to call out for help without upsetting some that are more sensitive.
