Keystone Cougar

Looking for some one with a 2011 Cougar 326 MKS, have some questions on how your cable TV is wired. We got this 5er used and can't get cable to work. Thanks, Dan
  • Thanks for the replies, I'll try it at our next campground stop. I'm presently by Yosemite, visiting relatives, on our way from Northern Minn. to friends and relatives across the southern states, looking for warmth, haven't found it yet. Dan
  • Dan,
I do not have a 326 MKS but I do have a 2011 293SAB. When I hook up park cable to my docking station, I have to turn off my antenna booster (little red light mentioned earlier). If that does not work, you probably will have to trace the signal. They make a "pinger" to send a signal while you trace it with a multimeter but I just used a long length of coax cable and tested for continuity. Let us know how you make out.
  • I had a 2010 of the model. They wired it so the receiver had to be in the bedroom. Yes, even for the living room tv. I rewired mine from the area in the basement where the outlet is back into the slide where the living room tv is. The bedroom tv was just for antenna tv and the was ok with me.

On edit, this is for satellite tv. If you really mean cable then wire it in at the side of the camper and turn off your antenna booster which will let the cable signal go through it. When in doubt, pull the receptacles out and trace wires.

Just shot in the dark! Look for little signal switch plate inside your rig. There will be a little red light and a little push button next to it. For "cable" the red light should be on and for satellite use off. Try both ways.
