I had a 2012 Outback travel trailer and traded it in for a 2015 Cougar 5th wheel. We also looked at the Laredo line. They are similar as you said. We really liked our Outback but when the time came to move to a fifth wheel the Cougar had the floor plan we liked. I would not worry too much about the brand, but instead go for the floor plan you like best.
