Keystone Quality

I placed a question in one of the other Forums and someone else suggested coming to the 5th wheel thread. I understand I should have posted here first, but did not. I have found a 2016 Keystone Hideout 299RLDS 5th wheel that has got my attention. The 5th wheel I have now is longer than my age wants to pull anymore. Wanting a shorter one.

I have been sick and in the hospital so I did not get to go see this 5th wheel as of yet just photos. I did call my Credit Union to make sure I could buy when I get ready.

It is what I think at a great price right now of $25,000. What do you experts say?

I have read some negatives on Keystone's and I have had some here that do not like Keystone's. Talking to others they say Keystone makes a lot of models. Your help is appreciated.
  • We are very happy full timers with our 2012 Montana and were also very happy with the 2008 Montana we had before it.
  • As with any "Brand or Make" you are going to find people with good and bad opinions. We have had our Montana for 2 years now, and bought it used, and not have any problems. We pull ours with a F-350. Good Luck and Happy Camping !!!
  • Thanks guys. This will be our third 5th wheel. We think we have figured out what we want, need, etc... I have my finger on the trigger and was ready to pull it until I found myself reading some reviews in the Keystone. I thought I would come to the Forum where the experts hang out. I have been hanging around here for about a decade, but I mainly read and learn.
  • Although I have a crossroads cruiser, I have seen on the internet that the keystones are very nice rigs. I would consider it but always weigh your options to pick your perfect beauty.
  • We bought a used 2013 Montana Mountaineer 16 months ago. We are full-timers and we love it. We have pulled 7,000 plus miles over those months, without any problems. We do plan to put new tires on before our trip south for the winter...just because. I think you can have problems with any RV, with the way they're made.
