You should be ok with the numbers that you are using but the only real way to know about weights is to put everything in it (including water and fuel) and head to the scale. Dually trucks will always offer a more stable towing experience.
I would keep the current truck until after you weigh everything and adjust your loading if needed, you can always trade later if needed.
