jetstreamer: I also have 2 of these vents (keystone) & the tops need replaced. I was told they just vent the attic space, nothing about equalizing pressure, guess maybe it could though. My question is were you able to just buy the "tops" of the vents or did you buy the whole vent. I don't think you would ever need to replace the bottom into the roof, but the top gets cooked by the sun and is very thin plastic.....
