We lock when the camper is at storage or parked in front of the house (if the truck isn't hitched up). If the slides are out and we're camping, we don't lock.

Understood and agree. I can walk around my storage lot and count 5 fifth wheels and a dozen travel trailers without locks. My hope is that the lock will be the reason that the thieves move on to an easier target.
I know parked out in front of our house if we leave our doors unlocked, our car is likely to get rifled through. If locked, they don't do anything and have never taken the bigger/next step of breaking windows or anything like that.
