We lock when the camper is at storage or parked in front of the house (if the truck isn't hitched up). If the slides are out and we're camping, we don't lock.
That is one a cordless grinder would take about 2 minutes to cut through.
Still better than nothing.
I do like our storage yard, 8 to 5 office on site at the gate. 24 hour on site watchman, and 24 hour video surveillance, and each person has a separate key code for the gate, key code in AND OUT.
