KZ Inferno 4012T water freezing?

Just got a 2013 model, never had a TH before. First, I can't find the water pump. Second, the spec sheet from KZ site says the underbody is enclosed...is there a heater down there to kep things from freezing? We don't winterize as we use it during the winter. Usually not a problem, but tonight it's getting down to near zero, and the pump seemed to freeze up last week when it got that cold. What can I do to keep it warm enough to not freeze?

Thank you!
  • If you run elec heaters, make sure you at least run the furnace fan so it will circulate the warmer air in the underside if so equipped.
  • I have a 2009 KZ 4012. The water pump is behind the water valves and sewer dump valves in the left pass through compartment. You must remove the screws thaty holdthe plastic panel in place, swing it out a little and you can access the pump and filter there. Mine didn't have a shut off to drain the water tank, had to put my own on the drain hose under the trailer. You will find there warrenty is outstanding, they will bend over backwards for you. Hope this helps.
  • My KZ has the water tank and pump under the bed - check under your mattress, see if there's a storage bay under there.

It's not likely your pump that is frozen, but a delivery line ... on my KZ, I have found two places they decided to run the delivery lines into the underbelly, which is enclosed but not heated - could be same for you.

Turn up your gas heat and/or plug in some electric heaters, open the cabinet doors, try to thaw things out - it could take most of a day depending on how cold it is outside.
