I just got mine from Fed-Ex today. They were packaged very well and all parts were there, but there were a couple of glitches: the control panel had been bent and one of the switches was destroyed. I've contacted the shipper so we'll see how that goes.
I took them apart to check that everything worked. Hooked the motors up to a spare battery I had around, and they worked fine in both directions. One of the rods that go up through the motor was bent pretty badly and had to be straightened. Not a big deal. Greased the screws since they had only minimal grease on them, and also greased the bearing at the top.
Someone had posted somewhere that the switch panel was pretty chintzy. No way!! This panel is solid metal and probably about 1/8" thick. Very substantial and nice looking.
2BlueHeelers, the distance between the the stops, measured from outside edge to outside edge is 17.5". That is what the stops on my OEM legs measured so I should be good to go in that respect.
Nayther, I agree with you about the amount of wiring. I'll have to pick up some 10 gauge since I have most sizes, but no 10.
My legs can be lowered with the remote, but I will be giving up that particular "feature", and no big deal IMO. I think I used it once just to see if it worked. Actually I could probably make it work with that, but really not too interested in it.
