Landin Gear (again!)
So added the second motor to my landing gear on a separate switch, bought the kit from the MFR. Speed of gear is greatly improved but now they're failing again. Seems as if they don't stay sychronized...

Started the project last night. Got one leg installed, had it in and out about 5x. First the little index/mount tabs on the legs were too close together to match up with the existing mounts so had to take the angle grinder to them, needed about 1/4" to fit, took two tries. Then top of tube wouldn't go in far enough, motor mount hit vertical support, had to trim rubber piece, finally bolted in place but forgot to install lower leg (DOH!). This is all after I realized that the motor would not fit as shipped, had to remove them and flip them over as there's a crossmember right above the location. HUGE learning curve on first leg, suspect second leg will be 1/2 the time, then tackle the control panel mounting and wiring. Why do they send you a control panel with 18" of wire? I don't keep multi colored 10 gage wire lying around, gotta track that down on my way home.

as stated above 17.5" to the outside of the pads, 15.5" to the inside. On mine the pads are above and below the mounts so the inside dimension was the tight one, who knows maybe I'll get lucky and the other side will have a bit more play in it.
