Landing gear lubrication
Is it necessary to lubricate the gears in the front landing gear of 5th wheels? And if so how as the units all seem to be sealed.....

You've got the right idea.
I just do one leg at a time. Run both legs down, raising the trailer, put jack on frame near leg, and raise that one leg back up. Then do the other side.
