Same here, almost all the time that we are going on a trip, or are going to be leaving a campground early in the morning....we'll hook up the night before and be "ready to roll", the next morning....We've camped over night and left truck hooked to 5er. Sometimes I'll use the front landing gear, most times I don't...Never had an issue with truck or 5er....No problem with what you're wanting to do...have a safe trip:)
