Leaving roof vents with covers open for winter??

Received an e-mail from Equalizer Hitch on tips for winterizing your trailer. One tip was a surprise to me. It said if you have roof vent covers, to leave roof vents open. I am guessing it is to reduce moisture in the toy hauler.

What are your thoughts on this?
