Level Up reboot fixed my problems.

I have the LCI Level Up 6 point leveling system on my 5th wheel. It was a factory install in June 2015. Over the last few months it started acting weird. It stopped being able to auto level and even manual leveling was becoming difficult.

Short answer is I finally tried disconnecting both the 10 amp fuse for the control board and the larger fuse for the hydraulic pump for about a minute. After restoring both fuses the system is working fine again.

My guess is there is software (firmware) that has a bug or two in my controller version that surfaces after a lot of leveling cycles. I have solar panels so my batteries are always charged which means the Level Up controller had not "rebooted" for months.

Switching the control panel to off probably only turns off the display and keypad but not the logic engine (microcontroller?). Removing the fuse shoukd cause a full reboot of the system.

Has anyone else had similar issues with their LCI Level Up system resolved in this same way?

  • No, but I'm sure gonna try that! My electric 4 point Level up system (which I believe is LCI) lost the ability to return to the unhitch height after about 6 mo. Never had the batts out since but turn them off when parking. If the leveling CPU has a secondary "always on" power feed that may fix the problem.
