I also use 2x8 boards that are 4’ long. I installed handles on the edges to make it easy to move. I’ve used them on both my fivers since 2007. I place a 9” long level door way to check level. The jacks on the rear are not leveling jacks just for stabilizing.
I was too cheap to order them on my Columbus. Rarely have I had to use both 2x8’s on top of each other.
