Looks like Lifestyle has another line-up of 5th wheels - there are only 3 floorplans under this brand and just like the regular Lifestyle 5th wheels, it is built strong (sounds like the same frame) hence good for full-timing use. But it does look lighter than the existing models so perhaps it is meant to be a cheaper alternative?Does anyone know what this is about?

Lifestyles is a very solid made 5th wheel. Alfa is a new brand built by them and I'm sure there will be more floor plans. Don't know about the weight difference. I heard lifestyles is coming out with a wide body with a split bath in the near future. Not sure if this will also come under the Alfa name.

One of the thing I noticed about these new models is the width - it's 100"! That's wider than Lifestyle or even DRV.Anyone with any pricing info?

We were at Lifestyle factory a couple of months ago. They said Alfa Gold is a step down from Lifestyle. Lifestyle will still have the in house built frame. Alfa Gold will have a Lippert frame as well as the Bayview which is also built in the same factory. The to bottom will be Lifestyle, Alfa Gold and Bayview.

I downloaded their brochure for the Gold Alfa and it says:"Built on the Titan Structure™ frame, built in-house for the ultimate in qualitycontrol and seamless integration with the chassis of the Alfa Gold fifth wheel,this double-stacked, box-steel tube frame is designed for superior strength anddurability. The Alfa Gold is built for travel and the ultimate in comfort."So I guess the frame is built by Lippert? DRV still gets Lippert build theirs so perhaps these guys are ok too. "double-stacked, box-steel tube frame" sounds decent to me.Good to know that they are a step below the Lifestyle.

i've seen the LCI leveling system on some high end RV's (Excel, Mobile Suites). There's a thread on this forum where someone is having a problem with it, but that's the only one i've heard of or read either good or bad. Because of previous experience with Lippert components i'd prefer to have something else, but it probably wouldn't be a show-stopper.

I was at the factory in sept. they had the first Alfa Gold trailer there that was almost finished. It was built on the same factory frame as the lifestyle or carriage, but it had the Lippert 6 point leveling system on it, Lifestyle has the Big Foot leveling system.

The Carriage Resort Unit was set to appear in early September of this year. For whatever reason Redwood decided not to go forward with the Carriage Resort, hence the new 38's appeared.

September 15th Redwood introduced the 38's in RL (rear living) RE (rear entertainment) FL (forward living) and possibly a few others.

The 2014 Redwood 38's introduced in September have a heavier GVWR, added basement storage, and nicer woodwork inside then the 36's. The 38's also, have a newly designed nose and paint job just to list a few.

I'm going to be at RV Super Show in Florida this coming January and want to see the 38RL or RE Redwood along with the Lifestyle and DRV Mobil Suite.

Hopefully, some here will attend.

am a little confused on what 5ers Evergreen has. If i go to their website i see Lifestyle and Bay Hill, but can't find any reference to Alfa Gold. Earlier in this thread someone said they'd downloaded a brochure...

Back to Bay Hill... does anyone know the details of their contruction?? The brochure is very brief on construction unlike the Lifestyle brochure.

We are members of the Carriage Travel Club. Lifestyle is associated with us. We were to the Carriage plant before it closed and also to the Lifestyle by Evergreen. Lifestyle is on the Carriage built in house frame. I would say the Lifestyle is just as good or even better built than the Carriage. Lifestyle has better upgrades in suspension, windows,tires and other things. Lifestyle is a full timer unit.

Since "run em in the ground" Don Emahiser has left Redwood, the Carriage resurrection seems to have died. The Redwood website used to have the Carriage logo and "coming soon". Right as Emahiser departed Redwood, so did the Carriage logo. Haven't heard a peep since. I wonder where he will show up next. Phillip
