Don't forget that lowering the hitch 1.5" will also lower the clearance you have with the truck rails/tailgate by 1.5" :(

I had the same issue with an '03 CR Cruiser with a TrailAir Pinbox and SuperGlide Hitch. Took my rig to a good frame shop and they put a 1.5" steel box spacer between each axle and the respective spring set, then made longer spring bolts to hold it together. That leveled it out nicely and the center of gravity did not change enough to be recognizable.

Pull the pins on the legs and let them down to the ground before lowering them. Should save you some time.

Drop them to the lowest hole and they are still pretty far off the ground. No big deal.

I have plenty of bed to trailer clearance - somewhere over 6-8" now - new truck is almost 6" taller than the last one I am getting ready to sell - but on the first pull I did like the heavier duty truck with the bigger camper, even thought he old one was rated to haul it - it was too close to the max for me

is the 2" that the correct track set up be worth the effort?

I have no opinion on the Correct Track, as I have no experience with it. I'm just repeating what others here have said. I like Tom's pics and what he did, though were I to have done it, I think I'd've liked the sub-frame to be about 6-12" longer on each end, just to stiffen the frame around the suspension. His is definitely more extensive than you might need and, if prices I've seen quoted here in the past couple years are any indication, it's not really that expensive. Personally, I think it might actually =improve= resale value, especially for someone who has a newer truck that's almost certainly going to be taller, and putting the buyer in the same boat you are.

first quote to do a 6" lift on the 5er was $750 - is that in the range of what you have found - I was expecting closer to $400-500 but have never done this before - last camper was just flip the axles to get the clearance but not this one - it will be a full 6" lift

took the camper today for a closer estimate and we are down to $500 now - looking better

Sounds like a great price! Make sure they are able to do an alignment.

kinda back tracking now - seems I have an in on new axles can get custom dexter axles with a 4" drop - turn them for a 4" lift - no welding and get most of the way there (gain 4" at the axles and already dropped the hitch 1.5 " with lower feet). new axles, springs, brakes, bearings, etc. made about 15 miles from me. I like the welding mod but will be looking at replacing 10 yr old bearings and brakes anyways so this one is looking promising. pretty sure I may gain more as the original axles on this trailer are 3500 lb and the springs are straight under load now . . . . heavier sprints won't flatten so much. I remember reading about the tires and axles being too small for this camper models years ago when I was researching everything else. adding the heavier running gear would be safer in the long run when we can finally do the drive to alaska
