Your Dealer has to go to Lippert direct for Warranty - what role does Winnebago play?
Winnebago contacted Lippert directly. One of their managers contacted me directly then contacted my dealer and sorted out all issues without any hassle.
I guess it's all in a perception of what you believe to be a hassle. Just the fact a Manager from Lippert had to reach out to you is already a hassle - your dealing with the Dealer should be your only commitment. The rest should just get done through the system. That's Lippert's game - they call you direct then argue with you in most cases and take it out of the manufacturers hands to tell you that you didn't do some dumb ass service requirements so they aren't going to cover it but your manufacturer can if they want to. You should never have to be in that position. Your's may have worked out, but they were fishing for a reason to deny you if they had to talk to you direct.
I don't recall ever having to speak with Navstar to get warranty on my prior engine work through Ford. The Dealer pretty much just took care of it. :)
