lippert self leveling electric jack failed!!

I have a lipert self leveling electric jack system. Went to level the camper and the four corner jacks worked fine. The two middle stabilizer jacks went down and one jambed up. I pulled the motor off of it but can't get it to manually raise or lower. I also can't seem to find a way to open it up to see whats wrong. Any ideas on how much to replace it? I can still use it this weekend just won't have a stabilizer jack. Thanks.

  • After looking at it and tearing it apart it is the "screw" part that is bad. I ended up giving it to the dealer to fix and put back together. I can still camp and just have to tie up the motor till I get the jack back. Shouldn't be too big a fix but at the time I was pissed off. So far I've had the jack system fail on the electronic side and a slide fail and now this. All of these failures were right before holiday weekends. Sure doesn't have a great track record so far.
  • I guess anything can fail buy seems I have more failures connected to the Lippert chassis. Maybe it's the mfg's that use them. I've had more problems with my Keystone than all the others I've had combined.

Can you remove it? Sounds like it is toast.
  • Yeah I'm starting to get tired of lippert too but in this case I don't think they make the jacks just the electrical side to it. Ive tried to manually turn the jack but it won't budge. I guess something inside is bent. Weird thing is this is just a stabilizer jack so it doesn't get near the workout as the four corner leveling jacks.
  • has anything Lippert not failed? Sorry I'm no help on this one just needed to vent.
  • our Lippert stabilizer jacks have a place for a crank on the opposite side from the motor
