Please explain to me what you do with your "big truck" that I can't do with my "little truck" that has to do with bed size. I don't car that I have to leave the tailgate down every now and then.
Well, it is a longer bed. Of course it will carry more. Forward of my hitch is a fuel tank/storage box combo, flush with the bedrails. There is enough space remaining between the hitch & tank/storage box to put anything else up to about 15" wide X bed width. Then there is plenty of space behind the hitch which in my case carrys nothing but the trailer umbilical cord since I have an inbed plug.
The only time I leave the tailgate down is when I need a surface for cooking or settin on.
Hard to see but the grill is mounted on the reciever hitch.
